Enevate Technologies Corporation launches as a new company with validated XFC-Energy® and HD-Energy® battery technology developed over two decades at Enevate Corporation. The portfolio includes more than 650 issued and pending patents covering advanced anode materials and electrodes including silicon-based anodes, high-performance cell designs, safety innovations and more. The company will operate from the original Irvine laboratory, retaining key analytical facilities and capabilities. An affiliate of Quantum Valley Investments acquired the assets from Enevate Corporation during its liquidation. Enevate Technologies Corporation will build on the original foundation to accelerate groundbreaking solutions for applications where charge and discharge speed, energy density and safety are critical. The new company is led by battery technology pioneer and Enevate founder Dr. Benjamin Park, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Enevate’s technology is the product of years of imagination, persistence and hard work by a large and talented group of individuals,” said Dr. Park. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to that foundation. Our responsibility now is to continue to foster that innovation and expand the opportunities for this technology to reach its full potential. Continuing to develop the portfolio and bring on new licensees lets us put the technology into applications that were previously out of reach.”
Dr. Park founded Enevate, originally known as Carbon Micro Battery, in 2005 and previously served as its Director and Chief Technology Officer, leading battery research, development and engineering. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in battery materials, cell chemistry and manufacturing technology to the new company.
Enevate Technologies begins operations with a focused core team that includes experienced technical and business leaders formerly with Enevate Corporation. The new company’s leaner structure will help accelerate collaboration with key partners and concentrate resources on deploying the technology in real-world applications.
The leading patent portfolio spans the full cell stack, covering anodes and anode materials such as silicon, cathode, electrolyte, formation, cell design, safety and pack technologies. It reflects more than $150 million invested over two decades of development, now consolidated under single ownership. XFC-Energy cells charge in under five minutes while delivering energy densities above 350 Wh/kg and 800 Wh/L, with sustained performance at low temperatures and high discharge rates. The platform combines performance characteristics that conventional cells cannot simultaneously deliver.
“We are clearly building on a very strong foundation,” said Dr. Frederic Bonhomme, Vice President of Operations and Engineering at Enevate Technologies Corporation. “We own a mature scientific base, the analytical equipment and the capability to translate this chemistry into working cells and manufacturing processes. Our focus now is enabling more products with more partners.” Initial markets will include aviation, defense and other specialty applications requiring a combination of energy, power, charging speed and safety, alongside continued demand from electric mobility.
“I have spent my career backing technologies that change what an industry can achieve. The battery industry has chased a five-minute charge at 350 watt hours per kilogram for thirty years, and now it is possible. Enevate’s technology breakthroughs, supported by 650+ patents, unlock markets for aircraft, vehicles and national security platforms that engineers have been designing around for a decade. The work deserves to reach the world and now we have the platform to make this a reality,” said Mike Lazaridis, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Quantum Valley Investments.
