Mobile-first developer tool brings Claude Code, Codex, Grok and Kimi Code into one coding crew while keeping code and credentials on the user’s own machine.
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — beafk, a mobile-first workspace for running and orchestrating native AI coding agents, today announced its launch on Product Hunt.
beafk allows developers to run Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build and Kimi Code on their own development machines, bring them together inside a single coding session and steer the work from a phone.
The product grew out of a problem founder Bogdan encountered while increasingly relying on AI coding agents for software development: although the agents could work independently, he still spent much of the day close to his computer — starting sessions, checking their progress, answering occasional questions and switching between different tools.
That became more important after the birth of his son.
“If AI agents are doing more of the work, it started to feel ridiculous that I still had to organize my day around being close to my desk,” said Bogdan, founder of beafk. “I wanted to be able to start real development work, walk away, spend time with my family and still step in from my phone whenever an agent actually needed me.”
Bogdan initially experimented with running native coding agent CLIs from his phone through a terminal. That approach demonstrated an advantage he wanted to preserve: developers could use native agents with the models and subscriptions they already had, rather than routing every coding task through another model API layer.
What was missing was an interface built specifically for using several of those agents together from a phone.
beafk lets a lead agent delegate parts of a task to other agents, making it possible to use different models for different jobs without filling the primary agent’s context with every intermediate step. Developers can move between sessions, monitor delegated work and intervene from a mobile interface designed around coding-agent workflows rather than a desktop UI reduced to fit a smaller screen.
The product also synchronizes shared tooling such as skills and MCP servers across supported coding CLIs, reducing repeated configuration when developers work with multiple agents.
Development of beafk began in earnest on July 22. Bogdan used a mobile terminal to create only the first version of the web interface. Everything after that was developed through beafk itself.
The following 37 days of development were completed from his phone.
“That was the strongest validation of the idea for me,” Bogdan said. “I was building a product because I wanted to be AFK, and then I actually got to be AFK while building it. I spent more time with my family, made it to the gym more often and stopped structuring my day around being near my computer.”
Privacy and direct machine access were also central to the product’s design.
A user’s phone connects directly to the development machine through the user’s own Tailscale network. beafk issues a short-lived certificate that authorizes access, after which development traffic does not need to pass through beafk. Source code, agent conversations and agent credentials remain on the user’s machine.
beafk also supports development teams. Workspaces can include admins and members, administrators can control access to individual machines, and certificates issued by a workspace can be reviewed through a signed, hash-chained audit log. Pricing is based on machines rather than seats.
The company is using its Product Hunt launch primarily to gather feedback from developers already working with AI coding agents and multi-agent development workflows.
beafk currently offers a seven-day free trial with no credit card required.

About beafk
beafk is a mobile-first workspace for developers and teams using AI coding agents. It runs native coding agents including Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build and Kimi Code on developers’ own machines and allows them to work together while developers steer sessions from their phones. beafk is built around direct machine access, native agent tooling and a simple idea: developers should be able to be AFK while their agents keep shipping.
