Wisconsin-based mobile education programs combine hands-on Ice Age archaeology, and marine science experiences for schools, libraries and communities

The collaboration brings together two mobile educational programs with a shared philosophy: some of the most memorable learning happens when students can see, touch, explore and ask questions for themselves.

The Mammoth Hunter transports students into the Ice Age and deep prehistory of Wisconsin and the Midwest through fossils, museum-quality replicas, prehistoric tools and interactive demonstrations. Forest Whales brings marine science, paleontology and conservation to life, highlighted by “Clara,” its 56-foot inflatable gray whale that transforms school gymnasiums and other community spaces into immersive learning environments.

Together, the organizations offer educators complementary experiences spanning millions of years of natural history, from prehistoric animals and early humans to the enormous mammals inhabiting today’s oceans.

Bringing the Museum to the Student

Both organizations operate as mobile educational experiences, bringing exhibits, materials and presenters directly to schools and communities.
