CARA – Caregiver Advisory & Resource Assistant is available 24/7/365 with no trial period, freemium restrictions, subscription or credit card requirement.
CASA GRANDE, AZ, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — CaregiverCompanion.ai today announced that CARA—the Caregiver Advisory & Resource Assistant—is now available at no cost to all users and will remain free.
The announcement provides family caregivers with complete access to CARA without a trial period, restricted freemium version, paid subscription or credit card requirement. Registration is open today at CaregiverCompanion.ai.
The decision comes as the number of Americans providing care for relatives, friends and neighbors continues to rise. According to the Caregiving in the U.S. 2025 report from AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, 63 million Americans—nearly one in four adults—are family caregivers. That represents an increase of approximately 20 million caregivers since 2015.
The report also found that two-thirds of family caregivers experience moderate to high emotional stress and 47% report negative financial effects connected to caregiving.
“Family caregivers already carry significant emotional, physical and financial responsibilities,” said Mike Weinberger, CEO of CaregiverCompanion.ai. “Access to practical guidance should not create another cost. CARA will remain available to caregivers without a fee.”
Support for People Who May Not Identify as Caregivers
Many people provide regular care without identifying themselves as caregivers. They may manage medical appointments for an aging parent, help a spouse living with dementia, support a child or adult with a disability, arrange transportation, coordinate medications or assist a friend or neighbor with daily needs.
CARA was developed to support this broad range of caregiving situations. Users can describe what is happening in their own words and receive personalized information intended to help them understand the situation and consider practical next steps.
The platform can help caregivers prepare questions for medical providers, organize caregiving information, evaluate options, develop step-by-step action plans and prepare for difficult family conversations. CARA is available at any hour and can provide support in more than 25 languages.
“Many caregivers begin providing care before they recognize that the word ‘caregiver’ applies to them,” Weinberger said. “CARA gives those individuals a place to organize what is happening, identify important questions and determine what may need attention next.”
Announcement Intended to Reach Caregivers Through Their Communities
CaregiverCompanion.ai is directing the announcement to both caregivers and the people and organizations connected to them. Family members, friends, employers, healthcare providers, senior-service organizations, faith communities and community groups can share information about CARA with individuals providing unpaid care.
Caregivers often manage their responsibilities privately and may not directly request assistance. Sharing information about an available resource can connect those individuals with support when a new diagnosis, care transition, safety concern or unexpected change occurs.
“A caregiver may not ask a friend, relative or coworker for help,” Weinberger said. “However, that caregiver may use a resource shared by someone who recognizes what the individual is experiencing.”
Full access to CARA is available through a simple registration process. Access does not expire, and no payment method is collected.
