Koody imports PDF bank and card statements, auto-categorizes them, and puts the data to work in budgets and cash-flow analytics without requiring bank logins.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, UNITED STATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Koody, the AI money manager for individuals and sole proprietors, today announced that PDF bank statement imports are now available to Koody Plus customers.
The new capability allows customers to upload bank and credit card statement PDFs directly into the matching account in Koody. Koody extracts transaction dates, descriptions, and amounts, cleans hard-to-read descriptions, automatically categorizes the transactions, and presents the results for review.
Customers can then use the imported transactions in their budgets and cash-flow records or export their saved data as CSV, Excel, or JSON.
PDF statements often contain financial history that is difficult to use anywhere beyond the document itself. Older account histories, closed credit cards, and financial institutions that provide limited transaction-download options can leave customers with a PDF as the most practical record available. Moving that information into a money-management app or spreadsheet has traditionally required manual data entry or a separate conversion and cleanup process.
Koody’s direct import removes that extra step. Customers upload the original statement, review auto-categorized transactions, and continue organizing their finances in the same application.
“A PDF statement may contain exactly the financial history someone needs, but using that history has traditionally meant copying transactions by hand or passing sensitive records through a separate converter,” said Hallie Omogiafo, founder and CEO of Koody. “We built PDF imports so customers can upload the statement they already have, review the organized transactions, and keep working in one place.”
Key features of Koody’s PDF statement import include:
• Direct bank and card statement imports: Customers select the matching checking, savings, or credit card account in Koody and upload the PDF statement.
• Automatic transaction organization: Koody extracts transaction information, improves hard-to-read descriptions, automatically categorizes the transactions, checks for possible duplicates, and identifies likely recurring activity, including bills and subscriptions.
• Cash-flow analytics: Once transactions are saved, Koody updates its Money In, Money Out, Net Cash Flow, and category views, helping sole proprietors and small-business owners see where cash comes from, where it goes, and how spending patterns change over time.
• Flexible export: Saved transaction records can be filtered and downloaded as CSV, Excel, or JSON for spreadsheets, offline recordkeeping, or sharing with an accountant.
• No bank connection required for imports: Customers download statements from their financial institutions and upload them when they choose. Koody does not require a live bank connection to import them.
Koody continues to support CSV transaction files from banks, cards, spreadsheets, and other financial applications. Customers can use the supported format that best matches the records available to them.
PDF bank statement imports are available now to Koody Plus customers. New customers can create an account at https://koody.com or download Koody on iOS or Android, then upgrade to Plus.
